Reverse Osmosis Technology

KALF designs, builds, owns and operates modular plants for the treatment of mining and industrial wastewater and the provision of drinking and industrial process water from the sea, brackish and secondary wastewater.

Reverse osmosis systems are used to purify water and remove salts and other impurities from the tap and brackish water. This process is capable of rejecting bacteria, sugars, proteins, particles, dyes, and other dissolved constituents.


We incorporate Plants with large-diameter (16”) RO technology and other proprietary design and process technologies. We designed a system to convert seawater to potable water, desalination systems use high-quality reverse osmosis seawater membranes. The process separates dissolved salts by only allowing pure water to pass through the membrane fabric.

Meaning that large capacity plants are very compact, highly efficient and modular, which in turn allows them to be mobile and readily scalable. Modular and mobile plants can be rapidly deployed and re-deployed almost anywhere with minimal infrastructure requirements.

Our systems use proven technologies resulting in reliable performance and efficient operation. KALF has many years of experience in commercial and industrial RO system engineering and is capable of custom engineering systems to meet specialized water treatment applications.

Reverse Osmosis (RO) is the technology of choice for large-scale desalination applications – 16” RO technology delivers the highest levels of water quality and plant efficiency.RO modules are supported by a variety of pre-treatment modules depending on the nature and quality of the raw feed water.
